The composer retuned the traditional pentatonic "sol" string to "fa," creating a subtle blend between major and minor tonalities. This technique evokes the ever-changing moods and breathtaking vistas of the mountain landscape. The composition is structured in five sections, inspired by the famous sights of Qixingshan, with the final part depicting the view of the mountain at dawn: 1. Dayoukeng (The Great Crater) 2.
